Anyone who refuses to learn from their experiances enough so that they change, at least so far as personal growth is considered change, is wasting their potential as a thinking being. Every experiance, however mundane, can be used as the final step in the climb to transendence, which is at the top of Division. It all depends on your willingness or ability to interpret an experiance the way it needs to be interpreted so when it contributes to who you are, it is more of a positive influence then a destructive one. (here, I think one should recall fondly Jake's 'running through a shit covered field' analogy of life)
Now I will ooze odorous liquid from my pores to celebrate.

I have nothing to add to that except to point out that I too believe, "the final step in the climb to transendence, which is at the top of Division." Nice one

All the best and bye bye now,
Jake

If ultimately people are to change (in respect to personal growth ofcourse) through their positive interpretation and acts of learning from their life experiences as they transcend upward, then is there any part of a human being's self that is uniquely and permanently innate that defines their self-image, or our we instead supposed to strive to believe that we are 100% how we react and learn from the world; that we are 100% environmental and not internally driven in our honest definition of self?

One may think that this internal drive or innate personality is just an excuse for continual failure when faced with the same type of life struggles and situations, but at the same time this innate self may also become what results in one learning and overcoming such obstacles.....

Change through learned experience? Yes, definitely. But perseverance through one's driven dedication to self (all personality, interests, goals included)may also be a part of transcendence then too right???

I'll get to responding to Mr. Anonymous who had a very good comment, but first I'd like to point out the reason for this little ditty I did ( ... )
