accounting, here i come!

so i have made the fateful decision to switch majors and become an accountant- a public accountant for that matter. I have been working hard on trying to land an internship, maybe not with the BIG4 accounting firms but with a mid-tier, midly decent paying one ($15/hour) and in a nice, big, audit office. interesting ( Read more... )

finance is interesting but no way on earth am i gonna spend 100 hours a week trying to make money for other people.

i totally agree with you! that was the clincher for me, well, that, and i'm barely passing my finance class at the moment ;)

dude, did you apply for any of the leadership conferences? i know kpmg's is in SoCal, idiot that I am, I FORGOT ABOUT IT. anyway, let me know how interning at a midsize firm goes. sucks how all the Big4 Firms get all the attention and they sponsor everything so it's like accounting = big4 or you're not really in accounting. jeez.

i applied to KPMG and got in. im interviewing for Ernst and Young this friday and hopefully that works out.

That's great! Congratulations! :) Good luck with E&Y, I heard it's much better than KPMG. Bad reviews nga KPMG dito e... not sure why.
