One of the reasons that the parenting through separation was grueling was that it made me reflect on the first time I was run through the mill of a separation, and the way that I was crushed, mangled and left bloody. As part of the court separation process I had to attend a parenting through separation meeting, which was both good and tough. I found it useful, though several at the meeting said it was logical and easy, but I felt that it is sometimes necessary to have things explained. For some reason the little fellow is slumped over me. He slept well, and breakfasted well, but seems to want love and affection in a very endearing way.

The youngster has a bit of a cold, with a drippy nose. It affected his sleep last night, but he was not too bad. That is, compared to how he was with the two of us from about June last year till June of this year, he was better. The little fellow recovered well after eating some breakfast, and looked very happy, so I decided to take him to the pool. We spent over an hour there and he loved it. He likes looking at the people, and walking around in the water, and then launching himself at me from the ledges. A very successful time ( Read more... )

The little fellow had a cold last night and was very tired. I stayed up till 11.30 (wow!) watching a Spanish film on Maori TV. It was excellent. Perhaps because of the cold he did not sleep all the way through, but instead woke up several times during the night, but he more or less slept in till 8am. Pretty good for a Sunday ( Read more... )

A lot of good things today. While it was sad to leave the little fellow in the kindergarten, and he cried at my leaving, the ladies in charge reassured me that he has a great time and that he soon gets over the departure.
