last day of the holiday.
It is back to work again tomorrow. In many ways I am looking forward to it because it means a return to some form of normality. It has not been a good holiday. I suppose though that things are sorted and we just need to work out what happens in the future ( Read more... ) -
Separation
I have no idea who, if anyone, reads my posts. Still, today Belgatherial told me that she wanted to finish things. She is currently staying in the USA with slipjig and figmentj who are, well, her friends. -
Tired
I mowed the lawn, cooked lunch, and looked after the baby. Yesterday was pretty similar, but we also had friends around and so I cooked for an audience, which is always more stressful ( Read more... ) -
holiday
Thank goodness! It has been a hectic term, what with six different preparations and the sports activity. Still, it has been enjoyable, and the experience of teaching Spanish is useful to future jobs...
Whinging baby. Must stop. -
Eco and Span
It has been another hectic start to the the week, but the economics and Spanish combination is enjoyable. There is a lot to prepare and it often means a quick change of mind as I move from one topic to another. It is funny to move from GDP per capita and factors that alter aggregate demand to the vocabulary and phrases for shopping, or speaking ( Read more... ) -
Update
It was a hectic week, and this one looks like being so too. At the moment I am teaching lots, coaching and umpiring cricket and thinking about the 1001 other tasks that there are. And of course the baby is now crawling around playing with everything, such as books in the bookshelves, the curtains, waste bins ( Read more... ) -
Home work
I have about a dozen documents and items that I have to prepare before the school inspection which starts tomorrow and continues all week. Isn't it obvious that the school functions perfectly well in the years between inspections, when I have to update documents dated 2008 (the last inspection) as if we are operating with them ( Read more... ) -
Rain
It has been a wet and soggy week, and so cricket was cancelled on two days, Wednesday and Thursday. The rain continued, and we had minor floods in the city, then sports day was cancelled. Spanish teaching
I had two classes of Spanish today, and I think they went well. The day was pretty well chock a block, and I started the day off with 15 email messages in my inbox, read a few (notably from me to me, sending from the home laptop to the work one) and finished the day with 17 messages ( Read more... )
