Just last night I had a dream. And in that dream, there was a war. A war not between armies, or empires, or even of the physical kind; a war of ideals. There are those who wish to live in the meticulously constructed system for the remainder of their lives; those are the weak. The strong desire something more. Something beyond the mundane; ( Read more... )

Isn't that worth dying for?

Nothing is worth dying for. At all.

All a matter of point of view. All a matter of which side you're on.

Gee Rhye...I dunno...I mean...Christ died on the cross for our sins right? THAT was worth dying for. And countless people laid their lives on the line for the liberation of this nation so that we could have the right to freedom of speech and expression..and they felt dying for the cause was worthy. And I'd die for my children...

I guess it's all just a matter of perspective. :)

I'm very cynical atm for some odd reason so forgive me if I offend.

I personally do not think the human race was worth dying for. I also don't think that any of the people that have died in any of the wars we've been in were really fighting for a cause worth DYING for... and finally... I don't think I'd be willing to die for anyone. But you're right. It's a matter of perspective, and that's mine.

What an interesting dream to have...such complexity...do you usually dream like this often? Or is is a phse of existence? Without the individual, the army could not exist...but in becoming part of the whole...the individual must never sight of one's self...

But that is my 3 cents. ^^

In becoming part of a whole, we must understand the ends of the whole, and thus, give ourselves willingly to a cause in which we ourselves believe. The whole cannot succeed without powerful strength of will from the individual; and once the individual loses sight of the ends of the whole, the revolt ends in failure. That is why we choose carefully.

You and I are on the same wavelength here...The individual, if he/she chooses to bcome part of the whole, must use individual strength and talent to better the ends and means of the whole...or the whole's result will be failure. However, an individual must never forget his/her own existence...one can acheive a balance between provide to the whole and saving the self, without sacrificing the success of either.

Any cause that forces the world to open it's eyes and see the truth behind the smoke, mirrors, and lies, is always worth fighting and dying for. As long as you burn your name in the minds of all who bear witness to it, that is...
