I've not been on much at all lately. Much less here. I tend to abandon the interweb in these odd cycles, then hook up again and remain addicted until some new shiny comes along

^^;;; I'm bad and don't talk to people. I do think about you every time I flip through and sell Cure though. I found out the magazine is selling well for the company and we're going to keep carrying it beyond the initial six month trial. I wouldn't know JACK about the concepts behind the j-rock/viskei culture without knowning you.
Every month is like "find all the vocalists who try to look like Kyo" drinking game. Emiru is as frilly as ever, too (the holiday issue was utterly devoted to Lareine). There are still color-coded bands. I constantly get a kick out of all the people in disbelief that these are men. It seems a lot of the extreme fashionista indie kids are buying the magazine for hair and makeup ideas.
*pokes you again* You need to come on aim sometime so we can throw things at each other.
Of course Dir recently played in the US, three shows. Whee. If I found their music remotely tolerable I might have gone, but between the fact that I can't stand them, the majority of their American fanbase need beatings, and I would have gone to jail for the attempted murder of Missy, it's best I didn't go. Still listening to Gazette *points to icon*. Lareine doesn't exist to me after Machi left, and he fell off the face of the earth sometime in 2002. A lot of bands are loosing a visual edge to me; it seems that most are either going more casual, oshare (I think that's the term - it's like fruits on crack) or slamming their faces in makeup and seeing what happens. Gazette, D and Vidoll are three of the main bands I can think of who have an attractive look. 12012 can sometimes do nice visual. Miyavi has gone from sex bomb to 110% pookariffic, sometimes wearing stuff that makes even Yuki need shades.
12012 are featured in Cure quite a bit. They're shiny.

There's a lot of that, too. One of them came out looking like one of those paintings from the '80's you still see on salon windows (the vocalist from Candy, I think).
Oh geez, I can't wait to tell you about the latest mum-freak-out. 9_9 It seems now that I won't be doing LCC in the summer or fall or ever again, unless I get really lucky and they are forgiving with the financial aid. (Doubtful.)
*hugs* Hope everything (car stuff aside) is going well for ya down there! ^_~
Man, I have so many B Horror Movies to talk about with you. I think you'd really appreciate The Descent. I'll snag you if I see you, and you've got my number!
