I dated during those seven years, and more than one breakup involved the lady telling me that she was not willing to compete with Christine. A couple of girls told me that the reason they didn't ever form a relationship with me was they were unwilling to compete with Christine.
I've loved her from the beginning, and I don't see that ever changing. I've loved other women, but none so deeply or strongly, and I don't see that ever changing.
If I were to lose her, I don't think I would marry again. I'm too happy with things to think that such happiness could ever be reproduced for me.
I'm pretty sure I would withdraw from most social activity for a very long time.

Does sex == love or can you have sex without true love?
Grommie completes me in ways I never expected. Personally, I believe that we are destined to meet our true love at some point and that I was lucky enough to find mine so early in life. I don't think we get two shots at the kind of happiness I have found with her. I will enjoy the time we have together for as long as we are given knowing that when that ends, that's it for me. Nothing will ever be better.
However, all that said - I don't think I would be able to go the rest of my life without sex. I wonder though, how long it would take to get back on that horse...

I can't rule out dating ever again, heck, I can't rule out marrying again. But I don't think dating would happen any time soon after such a significant loss, and I have strong doubts that marriage would occur to me, because I don't think it would be fair to the hypothetical future wife.
