Hey all,

So I was reading a book earlier and put it on my lap for a moment, and when I picked up up it was upside down. I then proceeded to read it for four or five pages that way. Is it a bad sign I read nearly as fast upside down as right side up? Cause my friend looked at me funny...

This isn't a bad sign. In fact, it's incredibly cool. Unless the reason you read as quickly this way as "normally" is that you only read a line or two a minute right side up, then it's a bad sign. But no, cool. :)

I read somewhere around 800 words a minute - I timed myself a few years ago. It's less with denser material though, or things that aren't standard English (Chaucer, Spencer, Shakespeare, etc). It made being an English major much easier.
