2011 - summary meme
Ooookay, kinda everyone on my f-list is doing this, so I'll join in (for the first time?) and see, what 2011 was like in retrospective.
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
a) going to Japan
b) answering the telephone/call in Japanese (e. g. the police)
c) doing shitloads of stuff in Japanese lol
d) writing a love letter and actually reading it to the person
e) snowboarding (today!)
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I did. I'm here.
I don't have any so far, because it doesn't feel like this year's ending already.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Did someone? No, I don't think so.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes. :/
5. What countries did you visit?
Japan ♥♥♥♥
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Can't think of anything right now, but I'm sure there is something.
7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Too many.
March 11th and the weeks after that. I've never read/watched Japanese news so eagerly and researched for such a long time in a personal interest that was related to study as well.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
a) getting my arse up to say good bye to uni for a year for my sanity
b) getting the jobs in Japan
c) getting better
9. What was your biggest failure?
- being late for work after partying. uh no.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Injuries? Several. Cuttings and bruises because of work.
Illness? As always.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
The tickets for J and the Monpachi Festival... (and my now gone phone... buhuhu)
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My friends and family for being there all the time.. again.
The people in and outside of Japan who did not give up and who are still fighting. No Nukes!
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Cannot name all those fuckers... lol. No seriously, there're too many bastards out there... but after bitching at/about them for a while, I finally managed to just let it go.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Japan! lol... Concert tickets, phone, snowboard clothes.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Concerts, Snowboarding, FUCK YEAH JAPAN!

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? - happier. very much.
Thinner or fatter? - thinner. *_* (10 kg in Okinawa, and if the scale in the bathroom here is right, I lost another 3... cannot believe that, though.)
Richer or poorer? - Moneywise? Poorer. Experiencewise: SO MUCH RICHER.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Reading. Have only read half of the books I read last year. Shame. Too less concerts, but the ones I went to were amazing.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Being lazy, letting others speak Japanese for me, because I was afraid of making mistakes.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I was spending Christmas working 8 - 5, then hitting the bars until 2 for 3 days straight. Without being drunk, but tired all the time.

... Oh yes.

None.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
All of you?
No... I don't know.

Uffffff.. that's a mean question. Ahaha read the Night Angel Trilogy and Millennium, those were great.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Straightener and The Hiatus (never spend that much attention to them before), The Goo Goo Dolls.

Japan! Ahaha... the tickets for J and Monpachi.
28. What did you want and not get?
A snowboard jacket in shiny green with black stars on it.. or anything else in shiny green with black stars on it. :(

Uhmm.. watched I few. Arrietty was great. POTTER V/II!!!!!!!!, Kyonshi...
30. What did you do on your birthday?
Partying at the beach! Wanna read about it? Here. and Here. (German only... ahaha)
31.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
It is goddamn satisfying like it is.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Eeehh concept?
Black usus + some colour spots to distract.
Comfy, tomboyish, sometimes feminine (a in short skirts).

Music, talking to friends, night.

Fukushima.

My german friends here in Japan, my family, my pets.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
Dudum. Met so many great people this year. Just to name a few: Koji, Maurice, Dawn, Kristina.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011
Not a lesson I learnt in 2011, knew that before, but never actually did it:
If there's something to bitch about, bitch directly. It helps a lot.
