NOTIFICATION

I hereby announce that I condemn CI YAOI - http://community.livejournal.com/ci_yaoi - for what they are doing. They steal download links and files from scanlation groups, post and reshare the files without permission from the groups. They have no respect whatsoever to the people who buy ( Read more... )

Hey, I know my reply is a little late, but I wanted to thank you for writing this and bringing this community to my attention. <3 As soon as I saw what you'd posted, I sent the link to a few other people I know to warn them about this community, too.

It really means a lot to hear that people don't support communities like these. It seems like people don't realize why scanlators don't want people massively spreading their work, and they think it's okay to do so when it's really not. We keep the scans contained to help protect the doujinka who drew them, and sharing them is like a slap to the face. It implies that they couldn't care less about the doujinka who drew it or the scanlators who spent their time, effort, and even money on making the scans available to the people who otherwise probably wouldn't get to read doujinshi.

So, again, thank you. =) If more people were like you, the world of doujinshi would be a much better place.

I hope you don't find it strange that I write in your journal - I'm not a creepy stalker or anything like that... just clicking through livejournal. XD

That community is really a pain in the ass! BangAqua wrote something about them some time ago but I forgot about them but now they are back to my memories. ^^°
I can't understand why people just can't accept some rules. You also can't do anything you like in life and it is the same with scanlations. Well, as scanlator you can't do much about them but I think that we will change some of our rules and for example not accept people that are in communities like that.
It would be a lot of work to check all the profiles if somebody is a member but I am thinking about doing it and ban them forever. -__-
Well, it is more making me sad than angry...

I also don't think how they can have so much energy to collect and share things against the will of the scanlation groups. And that they even think that it is their good right to upload anywhere they want (e.g. mangatraders - I will never use a site like that!) because groups closed their community. Those people are one of the reason why the groups are forced to do such things. -__-
But most of the readers are condemning the behavior of groups like CI YAOI and that's a good thing. I don't want to become paranoid and suspect everybody.
You're right that manga and anime is such a great hobby and we shouldn't let us spoil the party. ^_^ I am perhaps not good(really bad translation skills XD) but I am doing my best for the readers. Isn't it a great thing to make people happy? ^_^

Hi,

^^ yup, I think from the 1st day 'Megaupload' fell their fate was setteled, and mediafire seemingly did the most part of the rest!

For me, I'm happy to be accepted from the lovely people who share their hard work to read with me, I wouldn't be able to understand all the wonderful mangas/djs. without their help and I don't want to miss to give them a 'thankyou' on their respective site!

CI Yaoi was the worst of all, they did announce releases on Mangaupdates as their own, I saw it very often because I'm a member of some of those groups who did the work and it is so understandable that they got mad ( ... )
