bumps and bruises

To compete (poorly) with paeyl, you don't have to be involved in activities like hockey and martial arts to get nasty bruises.

[will post pic later today]

So, this is from bowling. Yes, bowling. And not from my own utter clumsiness (which would be the usual reason). I used a self-adhesive slip pad on my left shoe to get the proper 'slide' while bowling. On the first frame of the evening, rather than sliding, it folded over, stuck to the floor, and held my left foot in place while the momentum of my body and the bowling ball pulled me forward. One moment, I'm striding toward the lane, the next, I'm face-flat on the floor with my right arm covered in the oil they use on the lane. And bruised - not just in body either. Yet, I'm pleased that I somehow managed to not be completely embarrassed and to keep bowling three full games.

-For those who could use an extra few bucks/free dinner-
And speaking of bruises, I'll be loading a truck on Friday, Feb. 13 (auspicious date, I know). I'm looking for one or two sturdy, and possibly tall, people to help out that afternoon. No box packing or stairs involved. A good hand truck/dolly will be available.

I'll pay $35 per hour for loading the stuff from my storage unit into the truck, and if you help with loading the stuff from my current place (1 room worth), it'll earn you a free non-fast-food dinner (note: travel time not included, just loading time).

Warning: I have a _huge_ cabinet (ask pvck), thus "sturdy/tall" helpers. With the dolly, it's not a completely horrible task.

Let me know asap. Thanks!
