So I gave a month notice to the preschool and after June 13th will no longer be working there.  This summer I am nannying for adopted sisters that are 5 & 6 and go to a Montessori school.  They're crazy and fun and I'm getting paid to take them out as well as keep up with what they've learned before entering kindergarten and first grade this Fall ( Read more... )

So after a kick in the ass from my mom I got a bit more focused about my running training and instead of halfing the Sunday runs I got hardcore and we did the 9 miles a few days ago.  It was pretty awesome.  To go from maybe doing 4.5 at most to rocking 9 felt really good.  It was a total mental block the first half and then by the time I was in ( Read more... )

So after searching about I have found two schools in Portland that certify in Montessori and Waldorf education.  Montessori is a shorter education time of only 9 months but I love the basics of Waldorf.  It satisfies all my granola-wannabe ways and I really do agree with their system.  So I'm going to contact them and see when their next program ( Read more... )

I start  my Vancouver Fit marathon training officially today.  Ha I'm a bit nervous.  I had a little elementary kid breakdown of "What if no one is likes and is mean?!?" but I'm good and ready.  Do have a bit of a headache going on which sucks and it's soooo cold outside but I'm rocking hot pink leggings under my shorts so really I can't complain ( Read more... )
