Once more the words sweep her into their spell, painting images of the perfect weapon; the unutterably beautiful sunrise; the battle that caught one unaware and knocked one off one's feet. It soon becomes apparent that all these are descriptive of a person, and as the epic poem winds down from its thunderous climax to a soft, wondering murmur it becomes clear exactly who that person is.
"Hrrrm." Dreadnought kicks Two onto the floor and searches Gen's spot on the berth with one hand before lifting his head and looking toward her. "Babe?"
He lifts his head and looks at her with a slight frown. "Gen, you're... the perfect storm. Nothing can compare to you. Especially not those scribbles."
"Those are more than just scribbles." She returns the frown with a slight pout, poking him in the chest. "And I'd like to get back to the cuddling, if you don't mind."
And then Dreadnought starts dreaming, and Gen finds herself a strong wall at his back as he bravely faces incredible battles. In all the dreams she's a lot tougher than she's ever seen herself, and at the end of every fight there's a long interval for Gen attention.
If Psych's not wearing his firewall his sleep is shot for the rest of the night.
Odd how phobias in dreams are either greatly exaggerated or, as with this case, gone entirely. Gen is able to watch each and every battle without so much as a flinch, unless it was to sympathize with the opposing force when they/he were dealt a particularly strong blow. And as for the special attention time...
Psych has indeed forgotten to put into place his firewall. Upon waking up, he scowls and slams it into place before stomping off to the washracks to take a cold shower.
