oh no lana larkin, oh no. I haven't called you in fucking forever, because I'm so goddamn busy (because I'm a complete asshole, I'm so sorry), so let's try to pull that off sometime.
This raises interesting points, but it was written in anger and it contains a fair amount of avoidable bias. I don't agree with the idea of being contentious for its own sake, because if someone is being belligerent simply to get a rise out of someone else, someone is likely to get hurt. If the point is made that perhaps the boy's feelings are too easily effected, then it would seem that the two are not very vulnerable to each other, putting the closeness and openness of the relationship in question. Also, the argument for doing audacious things for the sake of "living while you're young" is specious at best. I've never understood the perspective of having to do everything once, and the time of youth being the best time to do it. I've never understood the mentality of one's college years being the 4-year window in which all inhibitions can be thrown to the wind under the thin guise of "living to the fullest."
