chicago birds must be brain damaged cause of all the polluted air.  they have no idea what time is a good time to chirp. 3am is not that time.

this made me laugh. and i just now realized that it also makes me sad. because i don't remember the last time i heard a bird around here.

however, i saw the first chipmunk since snow this morning, and it was glorious. the chipmunks always make my day. always.
