(no subject)
Since I've noticed many requests on this blur effect, I decided to help those
with this! So Enjoy!
Blur Tutorial #1 PS-CS

The program I'm using is PS-CS and will most likely transfer!
1. Open up your image and crop and resize.
2. After you've done all that you want to the icon (colouring, brushes, etc), merge them all together (control, shift, e) and DUPLICATE this layer
Go to Filter> Blur>Radial Blur
Amount: 15
Blur Method: Spin
Quality: Best

now you can erase two different ways, the easy way or the tedious clean way!
Erasing Part One (the Easier way)
3. Click on the eraser tool and select a brush size 45px with opacity 85% (if you are doing a 100x100 icon)
then on the DUPLICATE LAYER, erase the center and there you go!
Erasing Two (the cleaner, tedious way)
3. Select the eliptical marquee tool and create a circle just like below
4. Right-click the circle and click on feather:
Feather: 5px
5. click delete on you keyboard and there you go! This way gives much more of a cleaner erasing!
And TADA! From this:
to this
