the salmon continues

LOL!! The salmon AIM spam continues. (You might want to skim that first, it's short.) This time I was tipsy silly enough to respond. ... I have no words. None. You must read to believe.

VerbatimSalmon: A penis is being waved at you. How do you respond?
SilentMyriad: with laughter. much laughter.
VerbatimSalmon: By wondering how someone gets a prehensile penis.
SilentMyriad: Oh, that's not much of a mystery. There's enough viagra out of sale everywhere that it wouldn't be hard to do at all.
VerbatimSalmon: Wouldn't that make it harder to wave?
SilentMyriad: Depends on how many hands free they had at the time...
VerbatimSalmon: So who are you?
SilentMyriad: someone bored enough to answer random IM spam from someone they don't know. who are you?
VerbatimSalmon: Wait, you messaged me first.
SilentMyriad: Nope. You messaged me right as I came online. Same thing all the other [insert something] Salmon user accounts do.
SilentMyriad: Are you trying to sell something, or just find out accounts of people who will talk back?
VerbatimSalmon: Wait... no...
VerbatimSalmon: You messaged me with some stuff about waving penises first...
VerbatimSalmon: Or has my account been hijacked?
VerbatimSalmon: Shit.
SilentMyriad: VerbatimSalmon: A penis is being waved at you. How do you respond?
VerbatimSalmon: This is turning into a rotten day.
VerbatimSalmon: SisterlySalmon: A penis is being waved at you. How do you respond?
VerbatimSalmon: I do not understand...
SilentMyriad: A very strange day for sure. ... I do not understand either. SisterlySalmon is not my user account.
VerbatimSalmon: Then what is your real handle?
SilentMyriad: Perhaps this is the time we both click on "Report IM Spam" up at the top of the page?
VerbatimSalmon: Yep...
VerbatimSalmon: Too bad, you have a decent sense of humor...
VerbatimSalmon: Rimbaud971 by the way
SilentMyriad: Indeed. ... Well, thank you. You too. Have a good night.
VerbatimSalmon: Talk to me later if you want...
VerbatimSalmon: goodnight...

... I liked how he (?) tried to get my real handle and hit on me. That made it extra special.

Here's a guess at what's going on:
1) So the first three statements appear to be non-human, automatic/canned text. Intended to start conversation perhaps?
2) Then it connects two real people via these false salmon usernames.
3) ___________
4) Profit! ... ??!!
5) Confused users report IM spam and go on with their day.

Or, the "real" person of step 2 is really part of whatever ploy this is. Who gives a "real" username and invites the person to state their own username and talk with them later. ... Still not getting the point here guys. I don't think this is a great way to pick up chicks or anything. *shrug*

im, odd
