Windows updates

Ok, so everyone knows that Windows is not exactly the best operating system. Having to reboot everytime you download a new program or change a setting, getting the blue screen of death every once in a while, and having your entire computer freeze up when all you did was open one more window, are all popular features of one of the most used OSes. Actually I think it was. If I remember the article correctly, the guy just worked a bunch of known exploits, like an SQL server backdoor admin password, improperly configured NetBIOS, and so on. He was not an especially sophisticated cracker, and he actually wasn't even non-damaging; from my reading of the article, it appeared he actually deleted stuff to cover his tracks. (Most crackers -- at least on Unix systems -- tend to be non-destructive, or at least they used to be ( ... )
