I just ordered a trackball mouse and an allergy-free pillow. I am excited about both of these. The tech guy at work loaned me his trackball to see if it was better than a regular mouse for my hands, and it's so much better I don't want to use anything else ever again. Last night I dreamed that I was a jar of peanut butter. And I was being chased by empty Tupperware containers who wanted to steal my peanut butter for themselves. -

OMG, I just found out that the lullaby "All the the Night" was adapted from a Welsh song "Ar Hyd Y Nos." You have no idea how thrilled this makes me.
(I may be the tiniest bit delirious right now. But nevertheless, this is AWESOME.)

Now every time I hear a siren, I just think, "Oh. Zombies," and go on with whatever I was doing.
This tells me two things. First, I got way too involved in my narrative yesterday. Second, my survival instinct sucks.

I have to type this quick. I don't know how much longer I have.
There are smoke trails going up all over the city. Some of it might be from accidents, but I think there are arsonists going around trying to burn the zombies to death. I don't know if it works--the zombie I saw earlier didn't seem to mind being on fire.

I ended up going downstairs brandishing a chair leg. I never found my landlord. As soon as I got onto the second floor landing, there was a flurry of barking, and then the dalmatians came running up from the first floor, baring their teeth. I can't hear anything from downstairs. Since my landlord hasn't come up to let me know that he's okay, I can only assume the worst.
I may have to kill him. I'm still trying to find a weapon. The best thing I can come up with is a curtain rod.

Our first floor is pretty much all windows. We're screwed if any of these things decide to come in. We're pretending like no one's home. They're not interested in looting--they're out for blood (or brains, whatever).
