I overheard a mom in the lobby of the dance studio talking about her nine-year-old daughter, who's just been diagnosed with diabetes. She's learning to recognize when her sugars are low. *hug* We should look into things we can do about it, personally or by proxy. That being said, though, if you need anything, you know you can call and vent whenever you need to.

Give it another decade and we'll have a cure. Not something our kids need to worry about. That little girl will have to deal with it for a while, but I'd bet my power mace that she'll be cured before she gets to college.

I don't think that was actually a helpful thing to say, but, y'know.
