i completely agree. and you know the sad thing, i think most bands start out that way..but when they get big they lose all grasp of whats real. or at least thats my perception. i am also thankful that my parents taught me whats good music.. i grew up listening to old rock, like you said. ive developed a greater sense of knowing because of that i think. i have this huge theory, that people are just scared to be real. there is alot more to it than that..but i think thats the basis of all thats wrong with our society. people in general just feel this great need to not be themselves.
