So I was talking to a friend of mine tonight and she told me that Butler County Community College will give me a full ride based on my ACT score. So I think I'm gonna try that. I think it's probably too late for fall semester, but I can register in the spring. No big deal ( Read more... )

Augusta is east of Wichita.. I think that Andover is northeast of Wichita, but not completely sure on that

I honestly can't complain about Butler at all. The classes were small, the scheduling was easy. The only thing that sucked was the drive in the winter. The transition from 90 minute classes to 3 hour long classes was killer at first too but you've read in my journal enough times to know that it's not bad after a while. I had awesome teachers, and can recommend some of the good ones to sign up for if you're interested, just ask. It might be a little late for the fall semester since I think they started this week but it wouldn't hurt to call and find out. Or just drop by out there and talk to an advisor.

Andover is the first town that you get to driving east on kellogg. Augusta is something like 12 miles further east of Andover. I know those cities like the back of my hand.

Anyway, I'm always on AIM if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Heh, I hate driving in winter x.x

The small classes part.. yeah, Ryan told me he has a class at KU with three hundred people. I would feel so small and unimportant in a class that big x.x

And yeah, I was looking at Butler's calendar online last night and fall classes started on Monday x.x but spring classes don't start 'til January, and I could always take classes over the summer.

I use the x.x face too much o.o

Depending on the class, they've probably only met once so far. But yeah. I get what you're saying about the spring thing too, because I'm taking this semester off before I transfer to a 4-year ala WSU or like, Newman. I dunno. The job world seems more appealing at the moment. No homework AND a paycheck. Good deal to me.

Go to Butler! The classes are small, which makes them a hella lot easier. Also, if you need a job student worker positions are always becoming open as the older students are leaving to go to university.

Yes, Andover is the first town when going East on Kellogg. Augusta comes some miles after that.

Yeah, that was one thing I was also thinking about 'cos I do need a job, and I thought it'd be rather convenient to go to school and work at the same place.

Yes, Andover is the first town you come across on US-54. (It's not called Kellogg outside of Andover, sadly) Five minutes later, you're in Augusta. Actually, you just barely even leave Wichita, and you're in Andover really. You'll know when you're in Butler county when you see the Fireworks Warehouse at the corner. The other side of that street is Sedgwick.

And I only know all this because my dad lives in Andover. And to get to his house, you have to pass one of the Andover campus od BCC on 13th street. Funn.

Heh, yeah, Aura works at Wichita RV [which is between Andover and Augusta], and I've taken her to work a bunch of times, I just never knew if that first town was Andover or Augusta. But now I know! ^.^
