Hearing the rumors will continue until you no longer have ties to that high school. While I was still a senior, I thought it was GREAT to have friends who were in 10th grade. But then, that meant, for the past 2 years I continued to hear the high school gossip. Not that I'd take back any of the time I spent with those younger friends, but I'm definitely glad that they're out of there now.

Hopefully you're not like me in that you will feel obligated to go BACK there to visit during events that you used to go to yourself (I did choir, and never missed a drama production). When I didn't go to see them at those things I felt so guilty! Ugh!

I have never missed a NEM choir concert or musical [when I wasn't in them]. They're always worth seeing. Oh, what am I getting myself into..

*Laughs* You just happen to know some really cool people at NEM... let's face it this is one of those "ties that bind" thing. I guess...er...yeah...whatever. You also probably know some really moronic people...but I can't help you with that.

Oh well. I still get to here all the dirt that goes on at my old middle schoool and I was only there for a year. Now that's what's really sad.
