So I just got in my e-mail that apparently there's a Wal-Mart boycott going on because apparently, they treat female employees like shit
( Read more... )
maybe your wal-mart is an exception? i've generally heard pretty bad things about them; the fact that women are rarely promoted/given raises is just the tip of the iceberg, but maybe my sources aren't very valid. who knows.
yea i think your walmart is special or something. i constantly hear crap about it. even the walmart i live in, i live in a very upscale town. the walmart is about the most un-upscale thing in my town, even with our towns crazy city ordinances and rules and regulations, like neighbor hoods like subdivision wise have to have the same mail boxes. our red roof inn doesnt have a red roof. gypsys shiney diner cant have up white lights in the threes trees or on the building unless its christmas season, but you get the point, the walmart is just blah, i could almost say i hate it. unless its the brand-new walmart supercenter in brier creek now thats nice.
I don't hear anything about the female Wal-Mart employees being treated like shit. However, my brother works at the Derby Wal-Mart and he is constantly complaining of how the management treats the other employees like shit...
My sister, and her boyfriend (still working there) at the West Kellogg wal-mart are (were) treated like shit by everyone. My sister was forced to quit because the visicousness caused by some female employees (who no longer work there) that were upset because her boyfriend was their ex.
Today at Dillon's, we got anti Wal-Mart propaganda, citing from the LA Times, and the Cincinnati Enquirer about how Wal-Mart workers are under paid, and marjority of employees are using state benifits, and how far Wal-Mart will go to be un-union, and how they drove out the local grocers oiut of bussniess.
A lot of us at Dillon's are losing jobs, hours and profits because of wal-mart. I'm soon to be looking for another job if I don't get some more hours soon.
