You all bring up such good points. Seriously, you guys brought up a lot of good points against a laptop, and a lot of good points for a laptop. I still don't really like laptops, but I think I just might go ahead and go for one ( Read more... )

You can work though the menus (or just click here, assuming it works http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/featured_dp_notebook3_2?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs)

Happens to be one of the laptops my friends have.

Looks like you save $63 for xp home over xp pro, and It's $20 more for a 40GB vs a 30GB. (Though I'm not sure if those deals were specials for the package...)

hey, that's my laptop!! lol, you could probably get a printer/scanner combo and then a mouse; dell sells mice. i don't know anything about the different ranges because that wasn't there when i ordered mine this summer and i know next to nothing about computers.

i'm a big 10-key person. i can't stand having to use the numbers at the top of a keyboard. i dont know if you would have excessive need for a 10-key attachment, but that would be a good idea.

also a removable floppy drive is good. although now laptops have cd-rw's in them, so that might not be necessary.
