I still haven't seen much of the House series yet, but I always loved sharing music with you :D
I like Beck and Spoon both and have a different song by Cold War Kids so I'm curious to find out if I like them or if it will be a one song wonder for me :)
Not that I know much about it, but did you like the finale (other than being bummed about the actress leaving the show?)
Thanks! I really enjoyed our music exchanges, too. We should think about starting that up again sometime. :)
Though I wasn't happy to see Lisa Edelstein leave, I'm much more troubled by what occurred in the season finale. I don't want to spoil anything in case you someday decide to watch it, but the creative team seems to have taken House's character from a curmudgeonly, drug-addicted genius to an irredeemable abuser all in one fell swoop. It takes a lot to completely alienate me as a viewer, but I think the S7 finale was it for me.

How sad is it that I heard "Love the Way You Lie" the other day and it reminded me of House?
Not quite as much as the song you have for track 6, that is creepily appropriate.
:::Shudders::::
I'm still coming to terms with what they did to the show.

The Cold War kids must've hit the same pipe the "House" creative team was huffing on when they came up with that cracked-out season finale. The only difference is, I actually like the song.
I think what bothers me the most about the finale is that, judging from interviews, David Shore doesn't seem to be owning up to the seriousness of his character's actions. It's one thing to make the decision to have a popular character commit a horrible, violent act; it's another to downplay matters after the fact and pretend his actions were somehow acceptable. I know it's just television, but it seems like there has to be some kind of line.
These songs, based off the lyric snippets you put up, describe the end of S7 completely. Oh my goodness. It's so dark and haunting. Which means that I'm going to download it, of course. ;) I love your fanmixes. Guess it's a way of a goodbye as any.
Ugh, that finale. I just read DS' most recent quote and it got me all riled up again. I can't even. I thought Cal was bad, but he was on the upswing a few eps later. This House is beyond me. Good thing I'm done for good. I just wish that I didn't get so pissed every time I see something about the finale. I need to permanently erase that from my mind. Brain bleach anyone?
Excellent choice on the Cold War Kids! Every time I hear "Mine is Yours" or "Broken Open," I get the shivers. Whereas every time I hear "We Used to Vacation," I get the headbangsies.
Something tells me that isn't exactly a cheerful mix. ;)
I'll give it a go later (read: when I'm not so likely to burst into tears whenever anyone says "Boo, S7 finale!"). Since I've never heard any of these songs it's going to be a discovery!

Thank you! You just made my night! Let me know what you think of this one after you've had a chance to listen to it.
I know what you mean about the brain bleach. It's amazing how one episode can sour seven entire seasons of a show, but TPTB really outdid themselves.

It's a thing. I swear.

If "waycation" is a word (and according to some dictionaries it is) then "headbangsies" definitely qualifies. I tip my icon to you. ;)
