So I'm alive, if anyone was wondering. Wow, but it's been a good long time. Still at the same hagwon in Korea. Coming down to the wire, though-- my contract is up at the end of June, and I need to come up with a new job before I go home so that I can scout around and see if it's as good as it's supposed to be. For, lo, I am staying another year. ( Read more... )

if you were in the states I would totally cat-sit for you... but then if you were in the states you wouldn't have to worry about getting your cat on a plane to go to the states... -_-;;

The resume revamp is always a blast. I think I get better at it every time. Just make sure you use lots of action words, like "organize" "assist" "supervise" etc. That seems to be how it works in the US, anyway.

<3 good luck!

Thanks for the hypothetical offer, anyway. -_- He is a globetrotting cat, I guess-- my only concerns are a) finding an airline that will let his fat ass into the cabin, and b) the fact that he refuses to use a litter box while in transit. I hate to fly him cargo, but it looks like that might be the only way this time. I just... it's such a stressful trip, putting a cat in the cargo hold, and then to do it all again a month or two later? Can't stand it. Might end up asking my friend Daniel to watch him-- I wonder if he'd do it... oh! I'm giving him my piano-- maybe I can ask for cat sitting in lieu of payment. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

would it be possible to give him some kind of sedative or something so he wouldn't be conscious for most of the flight...?

It's not recommended, from what I understand-- the sedative/altitude combo does weird things to their vitals. I could ask the vet about it, I guess.
