In a way I'm a bit in your shoes. I spend a lot of time in college working to get my degree and have high aims of developing video games independently and eventually hopefully opening a company. I've taught myself the basic OpenGL API and am considered a C++ Guru by most of my class. I am currently working on learning the OpenGL Shading language, and 3d scene management schems.
