So its uh...kinda spring in Portland already. I thought maybe it was a fluke but uh no...its pretty much going to stay at 50 degrees and higher. I didn't even need a sweatshirt outside yesterday. This is so weird.

So in intro psych we were given rats, Kristen and I named our rat Peter. Anyway, today we trained the rat to push on a lever for a food pellet by conditioning it. so I got my first semester grades today. I got an A- in humanities, an A- in psychology, but a very surprising B+ in spanish which I was sure was my best class. I have no idea what happened there, I must have somehow bombed the final by amazing proportions and very unexpectadly. I hate when that happens, how does that even happen? So my mother sat me down last night, and told me she wanted me to very seriously consider transferring back east. The reasons are a lot of family things etc...plus I think deep down she believes being on the east coast makes for more opportunities, with Boston and New York right there. So uhm winter break? Awesome. I'm loving every second of it, and the whole thing is just going by too fast. Before today I wasn't really looking forward to going back to Reed...not because I dislike Reed, I particularly miss my friends. This time tommorow night I will be on a plane headed for Connecticut. Oh, thank god. I like it here, quite a bit actually, but it still can't compete.

I am so incredibly bored. It's parents weekend here, and obviously my mother was not about to fly across the country for a weekend, so everyone is with their parents and I have a serious lack of things to do. What should I be for halloween? At first I was going to be Daphne from scooby doo, but then the costumes I've found for it suck, and I don't know where I would find something good for her. So I need a new idea. Someone give me an idea.
