Both the art and the excerpt are non-spoilery.
Gerard’s desk was littered with papers, which was nothing unusual, but Frank shifted a few of them aside and found a stack of photographs underneath. Mug shots. He pulled them out and started flipping through them. They were all people he knew, people in the Family. About halfway through the stack was his own picture. Frank dropped the rest and cocked his head to the side, staring at his nineteen-year-old self.
He was grinning in the photo, and his hair had been dyed red and black.

laziilemon I geeked out completely when I first saw this fantastic piece of art. I hadn't really considered it before, but this scene is particularly important for Frank's character, to show how much he's grown and how much he's been through since he was just a kid without a care in the world. I love the details of the piece, especially in the top section: Gerard's pens, the stacks of papers, the coffee stains! And then the last frame, with young!Frank looking all cheerful and happy, with the shiny surface of the polaroid, I tihnk that's my favorite part. The subtle colors in the top part and the red in Frank's hair add just that touch of emotion, and they balance out so well. Speaking of balance, the way Frank looks down at the picture, and the way the picture looks back up... it's just executed so well.
I love tihs so much, and it's more than I ever thought I would receive for this fic. Thank you,
laziilemon, for this amazing illustration.

this amazing piece for the fic. I love their dark eyes, and the way their hands are touching, with Frank holding the gun. And I really love that Gerard's wearing the jacket Frank gave him.
