Something tells me that Yahoo and some of those others would get REALLY pissed if that happened...

Oh, they already are. Yahoo, Google, and a few other sites spent a lot of money lobbying to let a net neutrality bill pass about 3 weeks ago and then the House shot it down. I'm hoping that they'll rewrite the bill and that people will contact their representatives so that this stuff gets passed through.
