this was so sad and sweet. harry is such a precious father and you wrote him so well. i loved the part with the pendant.

i also loved this line - Harry went through Hell to save his daughter, and what he got instead was a replacement. He knows that he needs to love his new child, but he misses his Cheryl.

oh harry.

Harry is quite possibly my favorite character within Silent Hill, and this story both breaks and warms my heart in the best way possible. I can imagine a "normal" first time single dad being confused and flustered about their little girl crying, let alone Harry Mason who has just gone through literal hell and back to retrieve his little one.

In a way it reminded me of this stunning two page comic I've had saved for years where Harry, in tears, crouches over infant Heather's crib looking as though to strangle her. Instead he breaks down with this broken expression of bittersweet smiling through tears when she innocently grabs and starts playing with his fingers as they go around her neck. He then simply scoops her up into an embrace and cries.

The relationship between Harry and his girls (whether it be Cheryl or Heather) are some of my favorite ones to read, and you did an absolutely wonderful job with this prompt. ♥

Oh god T______T this is perfect. Absolutely perfect. His reactions are so believable, especially after everything he went through in Silent Hill. Thank you so so much for this ♥♥♥♥

"Harry went through Hell to save his daughter, and what he got instead was a replacement." I love this line too. It's such a strong sentence.

Aw. I love the way this makes you feel. So much emotion. It's so perfect. c:

I'm not as attached to Harry as I am Henry. But you can't help but to feel sorry for the poor guy. He probably had the worst out of all the Silent Hill protagonists.
