Ahahahha consider this early, lovelies~ If you have any questions, feel free to comment and ask! Also, feel free to plot together here, if you're not sure of what you want to do. Have fun and break loose guys <3
Note: ALSO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, I have updated the calender link. I'm unfortunately not quite as fancy to have a real calender, but I did list out the next few days in week form. I've decided that when we do change the time, it'll take place on January 1st, since the week form nicely ends on that day. I'm still taking suggestions for what you guys would prefer, and I will be going with the general consensus, so please PLEASE speak up!
OKAY PLOT TIME:
BEGINNING December 9th (just as Night Six begins), characters who have been brainwashed will return to their senses, and the town will drop to an eerie quiet.
The tourists and residents have all disappeared, but the buildings and stores are all still in good condition. It's like everyone just up and left. Lights are on, showers are running, toasters are toasting, but no one seems to be home.
The townspeople aren't the only ones missing: it seems the monsters haven't quite returned yet either, so feel free to explore the town to your hearts content. Stock up on food, clothes, weapons.. whatever you can find.
You'll need it.
By the middle of the night (roughly December 12th/13th in real time), the doors of the Lakeview Hotel mysteriously lock from the inside and are unable to be unlocked, even by characters who may have stayed indoors. All windows have also locked, with no chance of them being opened; and for some strange reason, they cannot be broken either despite any efforts to shatter the glass.
Characters who are trapped inside the hotel will start to smell smoke, but if they search around the top floors, they won't find anything. As the night wears on, the smoke will start to get worse and thicker, and it's like smog is rising from the lobby floor. If someone decides to check the basement, they won't be able to open the door leading to the stairs. It's locked, so forcing their way wouldn't work, and trying to pick the lock open will only result in a burned hand:
Be careful, they say there's fire on the other side of a hot doorknob. Right?
By the later hours of the night (December 14th/15th), an actual fire will break out inside the hotel, burning it's way up the walls. If you've been trapped in your hotel room all alone, do have fun putting that fire out.. unless of course, you want to be burned alive. During the last hours before daybreak (December 16th) the doors will unlock and allow people to try and escape. Just keep in mind what you're running outside into <3
Characters who have been left outside the hotel will have to find themselves some new cover for the rest of the night, unless they want to spend it fighting off the newly returned monster hordes.
These will be pouring out of the amusement park near the Lakeview Hotel, as well as
these, and both will be picking off anyone they can sink their teeth and claws into. The air screamers will be flying literally all over the town, like bats in a cave, and are fairly soundless when they dive, so do take care while cruising the town :)
Other monsters that will be enjoying the night:
-
Ferals/Groaners: Appearing commonly in outdoor locations, they are fast, nimble, and attack in packs. They are also sensitive to sound and will react to the source.
-
Grey Children: Knife-wielding, faceless child-like monsters.
-
Rompers: Featureless, humanoid creatures that appear to be either skinless or burned. Their gorilla-like movements render them very fast, and they attack with a body blow by pouncing and tackling their prey to the ground.
EDIT: Some things I thought of/realized after I already had this up! Something that probably should have been mentioned sooner is that when monsters approach, they cause radio, phones, tvs, anything electronic to break into static. So please let your characters take note of this! It is a permanent thing!
Also, I thought of a question I had myself about the hotel, and doors into the rooms may be broken down to reach each other, but anything leading outside will not break!
