Important event and time-change info!
Just a few things to go over guys! Firstly, event planning. As my fabulous co-mod put it:
"So I've got an event in the works at the moment, but I'd like to run it by all of you and get some brainstorming going. My idea? Silent Hill goes Shattered Memories. Aka the Order turns everything into icy, snowy, stormy weather. The kicker? No heat <3 I know I've mentioned this to a few of you, but I'd like to see everyone get in on this with opinions, problems, questions, etc.
I was thinking The Order could do this as punishment for everyone snooping around in their business. For example... the two church logs and the research log that may have gotten a little too close for their comfort within the Silent Hill Historical Society. They've pretty much gotten away with everything so far, so that obviously needs to change C:
So basically my idea here is that everything suddenly ices over, much like in the game, and no buildings provide any electric heat. Obviously they will need some way to survive, so any fireplaces that could have a fire built in them are still up for use. Our characters just have to be able to do it themselves without the help of technology. And by that I don't mean rubbing sticks together, lighters or fire starters, or whatever they may find could still be used.
Also like in the game, they wouldn't be able to fight, only to run like hell away from any monsters that come at them. If anyone has ever played Shattered Memories, they know that the only kind of defense besides that is to shake off the clinging things and run as fast as you can. How will we do this? I'm thinking anything they try to attack, it goes unaffected. Eventually, they'll get the idea and stop trying.
So that's all my ideas for now, but I plan on playing Shattered Memories tonight to get some more ideas. Everyone, anyone, and your mom: thoughts?"
OPINIONS, THOUGHTS, ROCK-THROWING, ETC. Hit us with it, ye who still haven't voiced opinions.
Second! Time-changing. We feel things are still too slow considering the small amount of people, so we're thinking of changing it up to two real times days = one silent hill day and two real time days = one silent hill night. That's four real time days for one full day-night cycle in Silent Hill.
Now, specifically we wanted to do this just for the event if not permanently, because we're thinking of having all this ice and snow and cold business going on for 2-3 days in Silent hill. With the time change, that would chalk things up to 8-12 real time days. If we did the event with the current time, it amounts to a whole lot longer.
SO. SPARK NOTES VERSION. There will be cold. It will last for 2-3 agonizing days as far as your characters know. For you the muns, it will be 8-12 agonizing days. DOES THIS SOUND SATISFACTORY or would you like to begin flinging rocks at me. FEEDBACK~?
PS: Let us know when this event should be going on too. We're thinking April 15th and 16th (and 17th, if we go three days), but it's up for discussion!
PPS: I am in the process of adding some nice nifty images on the taken page- specifically, modified hotel map floors, with occupied rooms marked neatly with names! Just an fyi ♥
