I wish I could draw what I see in my head, and it upsets me that my hands don't work with a pen like they used to. I take comfort in your artwork, because I see on my screen, what I often see in my head.

When I read about the classes you're taking, I get jealous because I wonder what pictures are in your books.

Take for example the lung. I imagine the alveoli inflating like these glorious balloons, so that when they they've filled up, they look like glowing orange laterns on a barren tree. I haven't studied anything today, so I'm kind of tapped out. Sometimes it like an epiphany, and it usually happens when I'm trying to visualize and understand what is happening in the body in 3D. I see vivid colors, and very distinct lines. The textures vary from velvet looking, to harsh and shap like velcro.

I don't know if my journal exactly qualifies as "artsy"...I post my writings, poems, other people's photography, quotes from literature that I like, and a little political commentary now and then.

I recently added you...so if you're going to make your journal more personal and don't feel comfortable adding someone you don't know, I totally understand.
