I have come to the conclusion (again) that i will not have kids of my own. Other peoples are fine, as long as they go away when i want them to. Yeah, it would take some kind of miracle for me to need/crave/desire children of my own.

Oh, I bet I do! The hubby and I went so far as to...erhm...guarantee that there will be no kiddies in our future. I'm with you on this stuff. Love my niece and nephews...love them even more when they go back to Mommy and Daddy ;-}

I hear ya! I am exactly the same.. I like other people's children, but I think partially because they belong to other people and will go away. Give me a dog any day.

yeah, i have a dog too, but he is a dalmation. i had no idea how neurotic and generally needy those dogs were at the time, but he was a birthday present. but he is better than kids any day.

how ever will you cope with it when the kids come back to live me (us)? course they'll nearly be teenagers by that time and will be on the same mentality level as myself, so it should all work out...

yeah, but they will go away when i tell them to. and in all honesty, they are the funniest kids i have met in quite a while. well 'according to my calculations' anyway. haha
