What should he call it? Warmth? Life? Whatever it was, the surge of it beating steadily within his veins quieted his shivering and allowed him to focus on other things. Or, rather, other beings.
"Sebastian,..." Ciel paused, looking around at the forest surrounding them, "I don't understand."
And he didn't. But, hopefully, the demon would explain. He didn't feel up to reminding him that he had promised to never lie to him, after all.

The demon moved onto one knee, offering his arms questioningly, asking permission to lift his master into his arms.

"You can inform me on what or who is chasing us on the way." he blinked at the offer before nodding slowly. His legs weren't going to be of much use. Besides, even if they were working properly, there was no way he could keep up with Sebastian.
Bowing before inescapable logic, he reached out and grasped Sebastian's arms.
