In all honesty As a secualr, gay, liberal, college educated person, I can not honestly rationalize voting Republican. And now with this insane right wing fringe taking control of the GOP and wanting to scrap Universal Healthcare "Lite", Social Security and other Social programs that establish America as a proper Developed Country. So I will go down

Well that is the great thing about this country, we can all have our own opinions and a soap box to stand on while we tell the world what they are.

I'm sorry since our local Democratic Representative Tom Allen decided to get stupid and run against the witch sisters (Senators Snowe & Collins) the Dem's haven't had a candidate I'd be willing to vote For. I don't vote by party I vote by the candidates documented history.

So in my long rambling way, I guess what I'm trying to say is this.... instead of automatically hating a candidate because of their affiliation look into their history.... then hate'em.

Oh yeah as far as all of the social programs that made us a "Proper developed country", they actually do need to be gutted and destroyed (then rebuilt). I work with various social agencies everyday, and they have long since stopped being about "client" and now only work to protect their market share as it were.

If it was up to me I would eliminate WIC and foodstamps. You would have a more generious unemployment package from the government in return including some healthcare protection. BUT it would all be tied to you being serious about getting another job. If you are unable to find a new job in six months to continue your benifits you must be assigned a case worker to help you. If you do not make a honest attempt to obtain or keep a proper job. Your caseworker will make an evaluation and terminate your unemployment, end of story.

I come up with this solution because alot of the people on Welfare where I work are the same people I have been dealing with since March 2009. Im convinced they are just lazy and dont want to work..being honest.

And sadly I will be unable to attend Furfright. Tomorrow I will be boarding a plane for Rainfurrest in Seattle :). I badly need this vacation! And ive been making promises to friends for several years now to attend a Con on the West Coast. :P *snuggles*
