I feel starry-eyed.

It's amazing how much one person - one stranger - can do, in just the span of two hours.

I am completely in love with people again :D.

"Intentional communities," a website he referred me to when I mentioned I was living in a co-op next year. Eeeee. I don't even know his name ( Read more... )

A bunch of friends of mine (well, friends of friends that have mostly moved somewhere between the 'acquaintances' stage and the 'friends' stage) have put together an 'intentional community' (I am not entirely sure what they mean by it, but have some idea) in Seattle. There were some plans of getting some land on Vashon Island (one of the bigger islands in the Sound but near Seattle) and setting up a coop, but that sort of fell through. But the main group of them is living in a house together and mostly intend to live together for a while and make it into a lasting community including raising children communally, etc. Which is why you should come to Seattle to meet them! *smile* This is mostly the same group (broadly speaking - it is sort of a loose network) who are the people with whom I go to Burning Man.
