I'd like to take a moment to talk 'bout Captain Planet. As far as I can tell (I don't remember the show much), he's one person with the combined and amplified powers of the Planeteers' rings. Doesn't this seem counter productive? I would think that a team that thinks and acts in tandem could accomplish more than one person with all their abilities

I think that's what it's trying to say, though. The teamwork of the Planeteers is what makes Captain Planet exist. He's like the personification of their teamwork.

Yeah, but from a logical standpoint, it'd be much better to have many people doing one person's job. Their teamwork making Captain Planet exist is less efficient. And that doesn't explain the fact that pollution can kill Captain Planet.

I agree the pollution killing thing is stupid. But doesn't it make sense for him to fight against the one thing that can kill him, though? If you were immortal except for one Achilles heel, wouldn't you want to obliterate it from the Earth, too? Or at least keep it under control?

Honestly, I think their planet powers should be used to 1) summon Captain Planet and 2) make them into greater planet warriors who help Captain Planet when they use teamwork!
