It's June, finally! I don't know what was going on, but May seemed like a really long month this year. Time was going by so slowly, I thought it was never going to end... But now it's over. I don't know why it was going so slow, it's not like there's anything special happening in June or something, June is just another uneventful month, really, but ( Read more... )

Oh... not fun when you have to wait more than your due-date... My first was born a few days late, next one a week, and third one they had to start the birth 2 weeks after my due:)

Yeah, it must be really frustrating! I'm already really impatient, so I can't even begin to imagine how my sister is feeling. :D

I heard it's common to give birth at home (not in hospital) in the Netherlands. Is it true? Would you do so? What about your sister?

Hopefully you'll become an auntie very soon! :)

Yes, it's quite common here to give birth at home. I think most women prefer it, though if I ever had children I don't think I'd want to do that. I think I'd feel much safer at the hospital! My sister gave birth at home last time, but as there were some minor complications she has to go to the hospital now, just to be sure. She's not happy about that as she would've preferred to give birth at home again. She says it's nicer to do it at home in your own familiar environment and not having to stay in an impersonal hospital. I suppose she's right about that, but I still think it's better to do it in a hospital, just to be safe!

May has been quite an eventful month for me actually, because a lot of things happens at my workplace during spring :D But other than that I can't wait for the real summer to start so that I get vacations. Sweden is quite wonderful during summers when it's hot because it doesn't usually get as hot as in other stinking hot countries, just "perfectly" warm.

Oh yes, Scandinavia is a very nice place to be in Summer, it's not as humid as it gets here! If I were taking a holiday I'd probably go up north, but as I'm saving my days, unfortunately no trips up north for me this year... :D
