The thing is I was just starting to find her interesting what with all the Uther/Gaius backstory and whatnot. I don't want her just to be some vanquished enemy~ when it seemed like she could have been so much more than that! arhgh!
I agrreeee about the Merlin/Arthur thing! It is so obvious that it is getting kind of tiring - it is not really even subtext anymore and what is subtextual is (for me) ALWAYS more interesting than what is on the surface. So yeah I am ALL OVER those other ships at the moment *uses special morgana/gwen icon*
The Slash Dragon (I think perhaps a new name is now in order) is seriously one of my favourite things - he is such a bastard! I love it!
The killing of Nimueh seemed a little pointless. It wasn't her who made the rules - she only acted by them. If it wasn't her it would have been somebody else.
That was my first reaction, then it occured to me that Nimue seemed to get a say in who got to die, with the switching it to Gaius. In which case Merlin had some justification for blaming her.
Or she didn't and was just taking the opportunity to off Gaius and when they get back to Camelot Hunith will be dead. Which I'd kinda like but I'll be astonished if they do it...
That is true - I understand why Merlin was angry with her - but it just seemed a little like she was made a scape-goat for the whole Old Religion~ fandango. Anyway, I suppose it's possible that they'll bring her back in some way or another - we'll just have to wait and see....
