Thom Yorke - The Eraser = awesome. didn't think i would like it... but it's one of the few albums of this year that seems to be sticking like a future classic already.

Oh, I'm very excited to download that when I get to a computer that doesn't have DIAL UP INTERNET.

Sigh...

Yes, I went to the Sunday show. It was amazing!

I also loved the people in back of me screeching for the band to play "Hunting Bears."

i went monday... i loved the setlist. They played Like Spinning Plates, which ruled... check www.bradleysalmanac.com for a good bootleg. Unfortunately, that version of LSP is puntuated rudely with some bro-heim yelling "YO WHOS SMOKIN UP?!?!? PASS THAT SHIT!!!"

Radiohead needs to screen their fans.

I'm going to have to disagree. With the exception of the title track, it does very little for me. He plays it way too safe and it sounds so predictable. Furthermore, when listening to the other Radiohead albums now, I sort of want to skip their more electronic stuff because it reminds me of Yorke's solo stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love me my Radiohead, but mainly with the windows down and guitars blaring. If only they would have combined the best tracks from Kid A and Amnesiac to make one epic album, I don't think criticizing Yorke would even cross my mind.

PS: I need to see "Sidereal Messenger" performed live at some point.

Hmmm. I'm very interested in the album for the rhythmic figures he uses. I've been thinking about it today, and the reason for my hailing it one of the best I've heard this year probably has something to do with the fact that A) I haven't bought much music lately B) There haven't been many huge releases that have done much for me and C) I'm pretty sure a Nickelback album came out this year, so that alone pushes the standards into the dirt. I think I respect the album so much because it is not as self-indulgent as it very well could have been. I think the melodies are subtle enough to be compelling,in that kind of "whispered secret" kind of way. I also think my vagarities are piling up rather fast... but hell I'm at work, and without a good portion of my sanity at this point. I think it all boils down to the fact that Radiohead are my favorite band, and if any of them pooped into a can, I'd probably be first in line. Who wants to join the WASTE fanclub now?

Sidereal si fun to play. Next one is dedicated to Lone Star James.
