I am such a dorky DaiMao fan now. -.- And it's all thanks to the Tenimiyu musicals and the Takumi-kun Series live-action movies.
Here's my first DaiMao drabble/work/whatever. I think it's a drabble since it's around 570 words, not long enough to be a one-shot in my opinion.
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Also comments. ^.^

In spirit of waiting for the third movie of the Takumi-kun Series to come out, and spending much of my time watching the Tenimiyu musicals….Not very yaoi, in my opinion, but slashy at best.
Comfort in Darkness
When Daisuke opened his door to see Kyousuke standing on his doorstep, all drenched from the pouring rain and clouded eyes darkened by the shadow of his bangs, he knew that it was one of those nights.
Daisuke knows that stardom is not always glitter and fireworks. Oftentimes the pressures of being in the entertainment business take their toll, both physical and mental, and they are usually not as noticeable until it’s too late.
He doesn’t ask anything, but steps back and says, “You should come in-you’ll get a cold.”
The absence of conversation was stark between them as Gii automatically went to the linen closet and pulled out a fluffy towel, returning to Takumi and rubbing his hair with it. He didn’t ask Takumi anything, knowing that the younger actor need space and time before voicing what was heavily pressing on his mind.
Kyousuke wordlessly takes the proffered pajama set and disappears into the bathroom, leaving Daisuke to his own thoughts.
Kyousuke, he knows, wears many masks, depending on his role. During their frequent rehearsals for the Tenimiyu musicals Kyousuke would take on a persona not unlike his character, Eiji, but while they were working on the second and third films of the Takumi-kun Series, Kyousuke was quiet, even withdrawn. At first it was puzzling at Kyousuke’s sudden change in character, but after working with him in several projects, Daisuke has gotten used to it.
The bathroom door opens, and Kyousuke steps through, eyes downcast and the clothes hanging loosely on his smaller, more slender frame. Strangely, Kyousuke seems so fragile in the too-big clothes, and Daisuke feels an absurd surge of protectiveness over his junior.
Realizing that his staring is making Kyousuke uncomfortable, Daisuke offers him a small, tentative smile and gestures towards the bedroom. “You should get some sleep. We have a long day tomorrow.”
Kyousuke nods, but makes no move to comply.
A mental sigh breathes through Daisuke’s consciousness, and he walks forward to take Kyousuke by the hand and bodily lead him into the bedroom. Kyousuke is docile, and lets Daisuke maneuver him to the bedroom.
Once inside, Daisuke pulls back the comforter and takes Kyousuke by the shoulders, gently pushing him into the bed. Kyousuke is quiet and obediently lies down, closing his eyes as Daisuke tucks him in.
Daisuke pauses as he moves to leave when he feels a hand tugging at his pants. He looks over his shoulder to see Kyousuke looking up at him, eyes huge with vulnerability.
“Could you...stay?”
Silence stretched between them in the darkness of the bedroom, illuminated by the soft light of the moon.
Daisuke turns and, ignoring the fact that he’s still in his regular clothes, climbs into the bed and under the covers, instinctively curving his arm around Kyousuke’s small shoulders and pulls him close.
Kyousuke curls up against him and closes his eyes. His shoulders give out under a stiff tension and his body relaxes in sleep, his breathing quickly evening out.
Daisuke doesn’t let himself sink into sleep quite yet, content to just watch his cherished junior sleep. It isn’t often that Kyousuke allows himself to let himself be seen as vulnerable, especially to other people. But when he does, it is quite heart-wrenching to see.
He lowers his head and smells the faint scent of shampoo of Kyousuke’s hair. “Everything’s going to be alright,” he whispers.
Everything will be all right.
