Since Renée had been turned turned her personality had undergone a rather drastic change. Or another possibility was that it had only lowered her inhibitions and so you never knew who would be walking out of her bedroom at night in their faded jeans and T-shirt with bare feet plus, the real obvious bite marks on their neck, with a curious look in their eyes.

Eli Silva was someone she had just met a few hours ago. She had gone to take a bath and he was going in search of the kitchen. He hadn’t told her that or he would know where exactly the kitchen was, but she had been pretty quick out of the bedroom while throwing back the word Bath at him. At the back of his head he’s thinking maybe he should just leave, but there’s something stronger telling him NOT to leave. So, the kitchen it is for something to drink or eat, because he’s starved.

But a noise from the floor above kicked his curiosity into full force and instead he went for the stairs leading up to the fourth floor. He walked north when he got up there and  to the only door there. Since it was night and no lights are on in said room after he opens it, he only sees some scary shapes in the dark. It’s not like him to be scared of the dark or anything, but there’s something unsettling about this place. How he couldn’t see that before he has no idea.

He felt for a light switch on the wall next to the door, when he finally found it and turned on the ceiling light he saw what had made the scary shapes. Nothing scary at all, actually. Just loads and loads of Teddy Bears. All kinds. The standard one which looked quite old but well loved. One of those German ones (he read in a newspaper how those can be exspensive) and then there were some newer looking ones dressed up as all kinds of things.

Like a doctor, police officer, pilot, construction worker, Brownie, boxer, baseball player, biker, cheerleader, nurse and an angel. Then there are the Get Well soon, Romantic, Happy Birthday and a mother’s day bear. Those are only a small fraction of what he saw clearly, some were stuffed behind other bears or too far away and he was not stepping farther into this room. It might not meant to be creepy, but it was creeping him out.

He’s just standing there, watching this one shelf with stacks of bears, wondering who has the Teddy Bear obsession in the house and really hoping it’s not Renée. He doesn’t have anything against them, he’s given his younger sister many of them but a whole room that has almost all surfaces full of bears is just... weird.

“Éloise Wolfe is a arctophile. It means she is a collector of Teddy Bears. Don’t worry if you haven’t heard the word before, I only read recently read it of a word of the day calendar.” Jay told him, from the hall behind poor startled Eli. When he turned around, he gulped and tried to think of something to say. Those two made him really nervous for some reason from the minute he met them. They had been nothing but nice and such, but again that feeling of weird-ness.

“Really? I guess, they have a word for anything.” He finally came up with, and then licked his lips nervously while looking past Jay to see Aidan a bit closer to Jay’s room in the southern direction and actually right next to the door of a walk-in closet leaning against the wall with a smirk on his face

“Yup. You see, she’s been around before they became the craze that they became and maybe even before they were invented. But I’ve never been so sure about that part.” Jay told him him, and smiled at him. Aidan was getting closer to where they stood, but he still hadn’t said a thing.

“So... could you umh, tell me where the kitchen is?” Eli asked Jay, while stepping from one foot to the other. Obviously uncomfortable and would be glad to get moving. Jay glanced back to Aidan over his shoulder and probably gave him some kinda of signal because it was Aidan who spoke up.

“Sure, sure. We can do that. Just follow us.” And that’s just what Eli does. Though as he does so there is a little, tiny really, voice in the back of his head that is saying this whole thing was a bad idea. The worst. As they get to the fourth floor where Renée & Aidan’s bedrooms are Aidan stops and asks Eli where Renée is.

“She said she was going to take a bath, or so I understood it.” Eli informed them, and goes down the stairs to the third floor first where Gabriel & Éloise’s master bedroom was. Eli had almost reached the stairs that led to the second floor where the kitchen was though he didn’t know that when in a flash he was pushed up against the wall of a dressing room (it’s just on the other side).

Jay bit down and into the still fresh bite marks left behind by Renée, While Aidan makes some new ones on the other side of his neck. It would just be weird if Aidan bit down into his half-sisters bite marks. Eww.

Eli can’t really fight them off, since he had already been a little drowsy from Renée’s feeding to start with. There’s only so much blood you can loose before it starts to really affect you. When they let him go, he just slides down the wall and stares up at the two vampires (what else, duh) with tired, heavy eyes. It hurt to swallow, breath, anything.

He does notice Aidan go over to a door that’s in the south wall of the hall and opens it with a slight grin on his face. Jay crouched down next to Eli and told him; “She’s in there, in the bathroom. When their parents aren’t at home she likes to use the bathtub they have in there. She’ll help you.... maybe. She’s your best bet anyways. Good luck.” Then he patted Eli on the head and stood up.

All that Eli can do is sit there with blood on the collar of his T-shirt and look after the two retreating men as they head for the stairs leading back up to the fourth floor, or well, a black panther and a falcon. It kinda looked like a race. But he must just be hallucinating or something because of the blood loss. What would those animals be doing in the house?

A few moments later Eli gets to the task of getting up of the floor and reaching Renée before passing out. He just has to pass through one door and then probably just open one more. But it’s still a bit far away from where he is and for someone in his condtion it’ll take forever to get there. He does get to the closed door that he assumes is the bathroom and hopes to god that it’s not locked.

Which it wasn’t and he kind of stumbled in. He stopped by the sink and now it was almost the only thing keeping him upright. Before him he sees Renée in the pretty impressive bathtub enjoying a bubble bath which has a lot of froth and listening to her MP3-player.

No one sees me but the silver moon.

Since she thought she was alone and all, she was kind of singing along to her favorite bits of Tired Of Being Sorry by Ringside. Which had the yummy and very lickable Balthazar Getty. She looked up because she could smell the blood and saw him slouched over the sink. She glances down at his neck, rips of her headphones and throws them to the side of the tub.

She hurried over to him and grabbed his jaw to turn his head so she could get a better look at the bites. Then she licked them, licked every speck of blood away before licking her lips and kissing him. After that she grabbed her robe from a hook nearby and muttered under her breath about ‘Silly’. He didn’t see anything silly about this situation.

She leads him back up the stairs to the fourth floor and they are about to go to the fifth floor where the guest bedroom is, but then he whispered to her; “Not the creepy teddy bear room.” So she only nodded and put him in her bed. That other room, would just be too cruel, even for them. Well, she was going to put him there but only because she didn’t want anyone dying in her bed. She’d have to get a whole new bed if that happened and she liked the bed she had. It was all nice and comfy, but it’d be cruel. Some of those teddies were really creepy at night.

When she had put him in her bed and he was pretty much passed out, she left for the next floor. When she arrived at Jay’s bedroom door she didn’t knock or anything she would usually think about doing. She only slammed the door open and glared at the rooms only two inhabitants. There they were just sitting lazily on a black couch with Jay’s head on Aidan’s lap with his eyes closed. There’s something on the Tv, but it’s on really low and her first priority.

They don’t even seem to react to Renée until she turned the Tv off and Aidan goes; “Hey, I was watching that!” Then he noticed the dripping wet hair and robe. Jay opened his eyes and sat up. “So, you saved him?” He asked her, and they were both grinning like that Cheshire cat from the Disney version of Alice In Wonderland.

“Saved him? Pretty sure that is not going to happen, at least not in the way most people take the words to mean. You two knew I had fed on him, and I also told you not to earlier. Why did you both attack him at the same time? You know how much Mom & Dad hate corpses in the house. It’s really unhygienic. Plus, we’re not supposed to do that unless we really, really need to.” Renée ranted to them, pacing in front of the Tv and glared at them whenever it looked like they were about to laugh.

“He just looked so really, really yummy and since you picked him up in some twenty-four hour store, we thought this would be our only chance to taste the pretty boy. It was also just really fun to flex those predatory muscles. There’s no fun in bottled blood and we were bored.” Aidan told her, and then pouted when he mentioned the thing that is the source of most of their meals.

“Okay, your insane. Now I have a pretty boy dying in my bed. My bed!” renée told them, repeating the last two words a bit louder to get them to see her problem. This is exactly the type of thing that gives vamps a bad word. That sounds stupid, but you get bored and do something stupid like this.

“Why is he in your bed? How about just changing him?” Aidan asked her, because she didn’t usually do that whole thing. If she had just kicked him out the first chance she had like say before her taking a bath this would not have happened. So really this was just all her fault. Really.

“He didn’t want to go to the teddy room, I’m not that cruel, and I didn’t want to carry him up another level. And I’m only 2! I’m not old enough to change someone... am I? maybe I could, because he wouldn’t be a bad first.” Renée told them, shrugging her shoulders. Then she took a seat on the couch next to them.and placed her elbows on her knees, deep in thought. He had made up her mind, even if it came out as questions.

“Well, counting your whole life being a half-vamp I would say your old enough. I’d go for it.” Aidan told her, giving her a good slap on the back like they were talking about a cheerleading match or something. And yes, she had some experience in that matter. She was big on that in High School. Annoyed the heck out of Aidan & Jay, but they didn’t want to see her fail.

“And he’ll need me for awhile, who knows he might stick around after that. You know I love ya, Jay. But he’d be mine. A real boy toy, so to speak, at least for a while... Oh, don’t give me that look. You two couldn’t get your fangs in him faster! I’m doing it, and blaming you two if Dad gets mad.” Renée told the two sitting next to her, at first grinning (bordering on a great, big smile) as she got up from the couch and then did a little more pacing before she glared a bit at them when they gave her a doubting look.

“Your starting to sound a little like Jackie.” Jay told her, mentioning his Sire. She had only turned him because she had, had a fight with her parents in the 19th century about Madeline Roux.

“Well, so? But I wouldn’t be doing this ‘cause I turned my maid, the girlfriend. I’d be doing this because you two can’t control your hunger. I am so putting the blame where it belongs.” Renée told them, before she left with a satisfied grin on her face and leaving the two behind a tad confused. Whose fault was it again?

She would need a glass. Well, not really but it would make things a lot less messy so she went for the kitchen and picked up one of the cheaper looking wine glasses. When she got to her room she got dressed in her most comfy PJ’s (red satin shorts and a white cotton, spaghetti strapped top) and straddled Eli’s waist who was still out cold.

When she was sitting comfortably (or as comfortably as you could get sitting upon another person) she grabbed the wine glass that was on the bedside table and let down her fangs before she grazed one over a wrist. Then she let the blood pour into the wine glass. Kinda hurt like hell, but much cleaner than anything else she could come up with.

When there was enough in it, she licked her wrist and put the glass half full of blood back to it’s former place on the bedside table. Then she gently shook him at first, but then that took too long so she just gave him a good slap. He came to, but he was all groggy and sleepy. Duh. Since he was missing way too much blood. She grabbed the glass with one hand and his jaw with the other, before pouring the blood into his mouth.

Then his eyes popped open all the way, wide & startled, while he started to choke and spit the blood out (at least trying to). Renée threw the glass on the floor and it broke into a thousand little pieces, obviously. She closed his mouth and held it closed like you do on a dog who won’t keep his pills down. Doing the whole shhh, shhh thing. In the end he can’t do anything but swallow the damn blood.

By now there were tears flowing freely down his cheeks and she kissed them away. Though who the hell wouldn’t be freaked out about what had just happened to Eli. This whole thing was was so nasty and she was so glad she didn’t remember her turning and she hoped he wouldn’t remember this. Poor guy.

“It’s okay now. Things are going to be okay. More than okay. You should just go to sleep again. It’ll be better when you wake up. Trust me, I know what I’m talking about, sort of.” Renée told him, as she laid down on his chest, since she was still kind of straddling him. Not really that comfy, but she did it anyways.

When he did fall asleep, she moved off him and laid down beside him. She’s asleep before her head hit the pillow. This whole business could be really taxing on ones sleep cycle. At least, it would be the next few days at least. A newbie vampire. Oh, this was going to be fun.

Earlier That Night:

Renée rang the doorbell and before Ásdís could get to the door, Aidan was there opening the front doors and asking why she didn’t use her keys. Gabriel & Éloise had left for the weekend, leaving the siblings and Jay at home with the staff (which pretty much just consisted of two elves).

“I forgot them. They were in a diffrent bag. I didn’t want to go back when I was half-way there anyways, since you were at home and all. Not like I really need the keys, with someone always at home.” Renée told him, as she swung the clear plastic bag holding the bread and Gummi bears back & forth. The bread was for Jay, still eating like a horse. Not that it helped or hindered him in any way. He doesn’t really need the food, he’s just weird. “Why did you come to the door?”

“We were in the pool, and heard the doorbell. So, I hurried up here to open the door. I bet Ásdís is like up on the sixth floor or something, doing God knows what.” Aidan answered her, grinning. Renée read between the lines and knew that he had flown from the garden level pool to the street level front doors. It’s very easy for them since this floor overlooked the pool. Piece of cake.

“Well, that would explain the swimming trunks and wet hair. But where’s Jay?” Renée asked him, as she watched drops of water dripping down on the floor. Oh, Ásdís was not going to be happy about that.

“I’m here. just took the longer route. Grabbed some towels. Whose the guy behind you?” Jay asked Renée, as he came into the gallery and handed Aidan one of the before mentioned towels. There actually was this pretty hot Hispanic guy behind Renée. For some reason Aidan had just blocked him out as he talked to Renée, which is weird, but then Aidan was always a bit strange.

“Oh, silly me. This is Eli. We met in the store. He was moping around because he had just been dumped. Who would do that I don’t know, but lucky me, right?” Renée told them, smirking at her half-brother and Jay. The guy did look adorable dressed in his whole zipped down gray hoodie and dark green jacket over with the faded jeans.

Before they went up the stairs Renée handed Jay his bread and Aidan whispered to her; “How much power did you have to use to get him to come home with you?”

“A tiny push and he was all mine. Left his buddy at the store. And no, you can’t have a bite.” Renée whispered back to him, with a smug look on her face. Aidan just pouts at her, while she just sticks out her tongue at him before walking up the stairs with Eli in tow.

“We’ll have to see about that, won’t we. What do you think, Jay? We can’t let that one get away without a little taste.” Aidan glances back at Jay, who had opened the bag of bread and was munching on a slice of it. He only nodded and grinned, before motioning towards the stairs so they could start the consuming of the bread. He’d probably get Aidan to eat some of it with him. Always hungry, that’s Jay.

“I miss the Spanish BIMBO bread. That was very nice bread. We should go back soon, they have good food. You think we could do that? Maybe without Renée this time.” Jay told him, as they walked up the stairs like they had all the time in the world. Aidan just sighed and rolled his eyes at his food-obsessed friend.

"You can get it here as well. You don't actually have to go to Spain for it." Aidan told him, and Jay just stopped his eating and looked at him like he just said something insane. Yeah, right.

"It tastes diffrent. I like the ones in Spain, not the ones you can get here."
