So we see the gulf between humans and vampires, even vampires who are trying to live an integrated life. Eli's new personality is very different, for him to be able to walk away like that, with no explanation or excuse. And Ben's reaction is perfectly understandable, considering the fact that he didn't know that Eli wasn't really Eli anymore. At least not the Eli he knew. I feel sorry for Ben, loosing a good friend so abruptly.

I mean, he might later on you know learn to not bite any person that grabs him but right now he's a hungry newbie with food issues. Heh.
And they totally change. Sure, fundamentally they are still the same deep down in their core or whatever but there's still things that change.
I feel bad for Ben too. Can't be nice to be bitten like that in the shoulder, because Eli was aiming for his neck but his aim was a little off. lol.
