Under the florescent flickering of the machines in her lab,
Where her eyes spark and flash with ideas and humour and caffeine,
And give weight to the equations as they write themselves out like heartbeats
On a monitor in the shadowed lines creasing across her forehead.
Alert and graceful and skilled beneath the luminescent heat of the summer sky,
Surrounded by a meadow of tall honey colored grasses
Brushing against the green material of her legs.
Her hair gently curling away from her jaw
In a shade that the sun ensures matches the meadow,
Whilst her eyes focus intently on the tree line in front,
Scanning for movement.
Warm and content by the fire, her eyes enraptured with the licks of the flames
As they dance for her perusal, small bursts of energy enticing her mind…

Her hands surrounding a cup held securely in her lap,

Of a smile
