LotR Fic: Of Cliffs and Rangers

May 08, 2009 10:08

A/N: Since things have been a little bit frustrating lately, I’ve decided to post this story to cheer me up. *g* Some of you already know the unedited version of this story from OAA. I hope those of you who haven’t read it yet will have as much fun reading this story as I had writing it. ;-)

This story can also be found on fanfiction.net.

Hee hee! I enjoyed this at OAA and again here... it's just a fun little vignette all the way around. And it's movie-canon, and that's fine. Although I'm a book-canon freak these days, I do enjoy good movie-verse tales, too, and this is definitely a good one. All the banter is wonderful.

I seem to remember when you first posted this telling you to come in from the cold, so I best tell you again. Standing in snow is hard on the toes. ;)

Thank you! *hugs* It's just the neighbours again, so it's nothing really serious - only very, very annoying. :P

I'm very glad you're still enjoying this story! *g* I think it's even more fanon than movie-canon, but sometimes playing around with fanon can be lots of fun (especially if the canon police is nowhere in sight ;-). I really enjoyed writing the banter, lol!

Okay, since everyone seems to want me to come back, I'll do so. :D It's really a bit cold in the Antarctica, but the penguins provide very nice and completely uncritical company. *bg*

Hehe, I'm very glad you enjoyed this story, mellon-nin!

Thank you! *hugs* It's nothing really serious - I just feel like strangling my noisy neighbours once again! It's like living beneath a horde of orcs. :P

*hugs back* I can imagine that must be infuriating! If only you could send Thranduil to shout at them.

If only you could send Thranduil to shout at them.
I so wish I could! They'd probably never dare to make a sound again! *eg*

*still giggling* Oh, that was was awesome. I love how they're so calmly discussing it at the beginning...such a very systematic, logical sort of argument, which makes it even funnier. The dialogue had me laughing all the way through; I love how you can tell who's saying what, even when they're merely disembodied voices. Methinks Aragorn should just go ahead and admit it: he does have a problem with cliffs. :D

Lovely little story, mellon-nin! So funny! And...oy! What's that penguin doing over there? ^_^

Hehe, I have to admit I had lots of fun writing this story, especially the dialogue of the disembodied voices! *g* I'm very glad you enjoyed this story, mellon-nin! LOL, I think the only one who doesn't know (or accept) that Aragorn has a serious problem with cliffs is Aragorn. Perhaps Legolas will get him to admit it one day... though I somehow doubt it. ;-)

I'm afraid I've caused some sort of penguin migration - some of them seem to have followed me to the northern hemisphere in search for more LotR fanfiction to read (they seemed to like fanfiction almost as much as fish). :D

Thank you so much for your review! :)
