And so the Blackhawks win 3-1 in overtime, because that ref's call was bullshit, yo. I mean, I've only been watching hockey for a season, basically, what with the lockout and all, but waving off that goal in the third period did not seem like a good call to me, even if someone was trying to break poor Saad in half over the boards way back away from the action. I think the crowd would've rioted if Detroit had won after that, lord.
I'm totally hoping for Penguins / Blackhawks in the finals, if only because they both have enormous fannish presence on AO3. Bruins / Kings is the only outcome that I would be not-so-interested-in, although I admit the Bruins are growing on me. They can't help it that they're based out of Boston.
At some point I'm going to have to find or make an icon or something. (I might just make one; I know what text I want on it.)
