Except when it's on Facebook when sometimes you don't see important friend updates in your timeline because of Facebook's "trying to be helpful but is *not* helpful at all but is irritating" curated newsfeed.

And while you can switch it to "Most Recent" stories, it always "helpfully" reverts back to "Top Stories" without you doing a damn thing.
